Multi-system architecture implementation
FairPrice Online is the online e-commerce platform for NTUC FairPrice. Besides e-commerce functionality, it also houses multiple corporate contents such as FairPrice Careers, Recipes, Tips, Events, and Store Weekly Ads. Due to business constraints, these contents are created in different systems but are then bridged together via network forwarding technologies.

Key Takeaway
FairPrice Online was a challenging project where my team was involved with various tasks. We firstly developed a system with WordPress CMS to manage the Recipes, Tips, Events, and Weekly Ads content. It is then integrated with an existing e-commerce system that is not WordPress. Lastly was the development and integration of FairPrice Careers as a separate WordPress CMS setup. The most challenging phase during the entire process was configuring the mod_rewrite module on the Apache .htaccess file and WordPress Rewrite API.
