Fully customized WordPress themes and plugins
Pentax Optical comprises of multiple regional websites and locales. The Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan regional sites are built with a fully customised WordPress theme and each of them has a slight variation of features. For some of the locales, customised plugins were also developed and installed to meet business requirements.

Key Takeaway
Pentax Optical was the first WordPress project where I was involved in building a theme from scratch. During the process, I have learnt the fundamental of how the WordPress CMS worked. One of the key highlights for this project would be the customization of a store locator feature for some of the locales. Due to business requirements, I had to take apart an existing plugin and rewired the relevant Google Map APIs. It was a challenging process due to the almost non-existent knowledge I had back then, but it was definitely a fruitful experience overall.
